Merry Christmas Everyone!!

The end of the year brings new beginnings!

We have had a FABULOUS year at the Secret Garden! So fabulous in fact, that we will be expanding our space in 2012! We have already started work in the big black barn! If you have stopped by recently, I'm sure you've noticed the bottom section of the barn is now one big room and we are installing a pavered floor. Debbie and Bart will be re-roofing the barn also! We plan on having a beautiful and much larger space next year with lots and lots of NEW vintage finds!

Moondog Cottage will still be open too with ALL new items!

If you haven't started on your Christmas list, you're just in time for our year end 50% off sale!!

All Tole Mountain and Moondog Cottage items in the Cottage & Barn will be

half off December 2nd, 3rd and 4th. That's right - ALL items - HALF off!!

We want to clear out things so we can start fresh next year with lots of new treasures!

So if there has been some great item you've had your eye on all year, now is certainly the

time to get a great deal!!

Friday evening December 2nd The Secret Garden will be open until 9pm with wine & cheese and lots of neat stuff happening! If you've missed it in the past, please plan to attend. This is the same weekend as Christmas in the Village in Waynesville which is a wonderful destination during this Holiday time. Try to piggy-back both events.

Even though it's the end of the season, there are still loads of neat vintage items to rummage through! Vases, lanterns, pictures, Halloween items...

Quincy, who was 15 this year left earth for Heaven on November 25th.

He will be sorely missed by everyone but forever remembered and loved.

You will find a special place for him at the entrance of the Garden.

Fall Festival!

We had lots of people and lots of neat vintage & Halloween items at the Fall Festival!

Aren't these miniature vintage liquor bottles adorable! They make a whimsical

display when grouped together on trays.

Vintage luggage is the "in" thing right now! Country Living just had a feature on how

they make neat "end tables" when stacked on top of each other. Lots of pieces

still left in the Loft!

We just brought this neat vintage piece to the Garden! A wonderful white

shabby chic desk with original hardware! Would look great in any room!

This handmade wooden witch by Tole Mountain is sure to brighten

Fall Festival at The Secret Garden!

Hidden Treasure!

You just never know what you're going to find in Moondog Cottage or the Barn at the Secret Garden! Recently I bought two statues at an estate sale and put them in the Barn for $60 for the pair. I had no idea that they were actually valuable! A lucky man bought them and put them on Ebay and got $1,000 for the pair!! Oh well, I never cry over spilled milk and am happy for him. See, you just never know what treasures you're going to find in our vintage items! So come out and take a look!

I bought a huge box of beautiful very vintage silverware at an auction recently. You never know, some of it might be valuable like the statues I mentioned above. Just don't have time to google everything you know... So come and take a peek!! Just 50 cents a piece - how can you lose?!

I love this vintage scale! It would look so nice in a kitchen and add a retro look. Only $20.00!

I just LOVE this very vintage picture of a man and woman. It's from the late 1800's or early 1900's. Purchased at an estate sale and in great condition!

Isn't this metal decorative bowl fabulous? Such detail... Very Victorian looking.

Official Grand Opening of Moondog Cottage!

Moondog Cottage finally had it's "Official Grand Opening" today at The Secret Garden! We have been so excited with how well our vintage items have done and have now expanded into the Barn Loft also! Thank you to everyone who has made us a success and a special thank you to Debbie, Bart & Adam for being so gracious, helpful and just plain wonderful!

This vintage Royal typewriter will add character to any room. Or to start your first novel on!

We have an assortment of wonderful vintage liquor decanters in assorted shapes, sizes & colors!

They look beautiful when you can group them together, adding a Shabby Chick flair.

I've always loved old cameras! They're so collectable. We have an assortment right now

purchased from estate sales. These are from the 1930's and 1950's.

We have lots of gorgeous silver pieces right now. Candle sticks, tea pots, trays, tea sets, serving dishes,

you name it! And at very affordable prices.

Vintage luggage is really in style right now and make great display pieces! In addition to stacking them for display, you can store things in them! We have about four really neat pieces in stock right now.

Garden Time!

This is such a neat table for someone's garden area or garden shed! Heavy duty metal table with character and charm is a mixture of green and orange and has a nice sized drawer in the front to put your gardening tools in. We also have a nice selection right now of vintage gardening tools to decorate with (or to actually use!) And if you like marking your plants, we have some beautiful ceramic garden markers.

For those who like the unusual, we have a pair of beautiful elephant wall sconces, a metal sun and a vintage brass eagle door knocker.

This is such a neat little wooden vintage chair! It has the woven seat area and is in good vintage condition. It sits on a large tack box rescued from an estate sale that boarded horses.

On a beautiful vintage cabinet sits a wonderful cast iron horse farm set! It has the barn, sheep, rooster, cow and assorted animals. Really neat set and very rustic looking!

Just in Time for Summer!!

Just in time for summer I found these two fabulous Vintage Adirondack Chairs! I painted them pale yellow like a cool glass of lemonade. In the center is a neat vintage magazine table that's painted leaf green. (gotta have someplace to sit that glass of lemonade right?) These would look gorgeous sitting on your porch! Just sit back and chill with a good book while that summer breeze comes by...

This hat is from the Jackie O period! In GREAT condition. Even has the original hat box!

New Moondog Loft at the Secret Garden in Waynesville, Ohio!

Moondog Cottage has done so well that we've expanded into the barn at the Secret Garden! So now when you stop in I hope you will visit the new Moondog Loft for fabulous vintage items in addition to Moondog Cottage!

One of the wonderful items there now is this vintage set of five yard frogs! Aren't they adorable? One plays the saxophone, one strums a bass and the others are ready for yard work. They sit on a nice southwest designed table bought at an estate sale.

This beautiful vintage black iron table set reminds me of Breakfast at Tiffany's for some reason.

Nice set has two matching chairs and a glass top. Only $80!!

Are you a tea drinker? Wouldn't this lovely tea set impress the ladies at your next get together? Tray, tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl only $25.00!

I couldn't pass up this beautiful Madonna that was at an estate sale. Pale yellow dress. I've draped a rhinestone necklace around her. She's in vintage condition, but I think that's what gives her a Shabby Chick look! She sits in front of a beautiful green table with vintage cream handles on each side of the top for an ecclectic look. Table only $65.00!

This is the blank canvas I began with! Debbie & Bart Goodwin, owners of The Secret Garden in Waynesville, Ohio were wonderful enough to let me open a small vintage boutique at their Fabulous shop! I had a wonderful time painting and decorating and adding Shabby Chic type accessories such as a chandelier and now it's a gorgeous little place to browse for one of a kind wares from the past!

These extra large and wonderfully ornate frames were purchased at an estate sale. You can't find frames like this any more. I love the aged look and fabulous details. They have so much character and can really add to any painting or picture you choose to use with them.

These old vintage typewriters are becoming quite the collectible! They make wonderful display items in your home or in a shop.

I adore vintage liquor decanters! They come a variety of shapes, colors and sizes. This display features a large collection that I have displayed in an extra large round tray filled with green moss.

This was a wonderful and unusual find! An actual marriage certificate in a very ornate gold frame from the 1800's! Because it is under glass it is in extremely good condition. The artwork on these old certificates are absolutely beautiful!

I took this table purchased at an estate sale and painted it turquois and added gold metalic trim and a vintage finial to the top. Once it was painted and had a new pink acrylic drawer handle it was a brand new table! It really turned out beautiful.

I just love old farm type tables that have the paint peeling. They have such character and charm! This was another wonderful find from an estate sale. I have one similar in my kitchen in the center of the room and everyone that comes in and sees it has wanted to buy it!

The one accessory that adds flair to ANY room! A chandelier! If it were up to me I think I would have one in every room in my house! I even have one in my bathroom. They add a touch of elegance and fun to any space!
